1987 Washburn archtop riff-machine finished in deep blue quilted maple.
It's with great pleasure that we bring this rare beast to market. Clearly modelled on the arched top double-cut stylings of PRS, these guitars were only made in a two year run from '87 - '89, presumably due to some strongly worded letters from the PRS legal team.
It boasts some very tidy features indeed, beginning with the solid set-neck mahogany construction with a thick, finely figured maple cap. The neck boasts an ebony fretboard and abalone dot inlays. With this woodwork, the guitar sustains beautifully as you'd expect. Hardware includes a specially designed Washburn 600T Floyd Rose locking tremolo, along with a set of quality machine heads that run the length of the narrow 80s pointed headstock. The pickups are a pair of gutsy EMG Select humbuckers and sound suitably raucus through distortion, while cleaning up nicely too.
This is a seriously capable machine with bags of scarce charm.

This guitar is offered in fair used condition with several bumps and blemishes commensurate with almost forty years in the game, including some minor dings to the body and neck and a chip to the point of the headstock. It has been treated to a set-up that includes a full electrics check.
